Nowhere to Be But Here

You are exactly where you’re supposed to be. There’s nothing missing from this moment except perhaps your own acceptance of it. When you stop rushing to be somewhere else or someone else, you can notice what’s already here. And while it’s easy to notice the negative or the chaos or what’s still to be done, I encourage you to also notice the moments of joy, beauty, nature, love, and support—they’re all here too if you give yourself the gift of noticing them.
Self-Love as Acceptance
Being fully accepting of yourself in the present moment IS self-love. If you’ve worked with me 1-on-1, you’ve likely heard me say that self-love isn’t something you need to figure out how to DO. You ARE love—it’s just waiting for you to embrace it. We’re really good at blocking it out and putting conditions on it.
While you are always enough, you can still desire to evolve and grow. But first, you must accept yourself as you are. When you start from acceptance, you have your full energy and power to create the transformation you desire.
Acceptance as Empowerment
Acceptance is a key to empowerment. When you allow yourself to be fully present and accept who you are and where you are, you declare your power, your ability to respond. When you get overwhelmed, acceptance clears the noise. Clarity comes from making peace with what is. It helps you focus on what truly matters—being present, tuning in, and responding with intention.
The Cost and Lesson of Resistance
Resisting who we are or where we’re at pulls us out of our power. It dilutes and scatters our energy - spending it on fighting what is, judging ourselves, others and the situation, or spinning in frustration. When your energy is dispersed like this, it’s not available to you where it matters most: in the present moment.
However, resistance and judgment can also serve as mirrors, reflecting parts of yourself that you’ve yet to embrace. Revealing the gifts and lessons in the experience. When you’re ready to accept and embrace them, you call your energy back to you, where you can put it to work through aligned thought and action.
_______________
A new season doesn’t need to push you to chase something outside of yourself. Instead, let it remind you of the infinite possibilities already within you and the experiences waiting to be noticed. When the world feels overwhelming, the antidote isn’t in doing more or striving to become someone else—it’s in allowing yourself to pause, to be fully present, and to meet yourself with kindness and compassion. This year, I invite you to let your greatest resolution be simply showing up as you.
